An ancient city spanning 2 continents ... where East meets West.
Kay Taylor fell in love with Istanbul when she went for the first time with friends over 15 years ago. She built a network of contacts, dance friends and costumiers. Kay found the city an inspiring place to be, completely different to Cairo.
Kays trips to Cairo have been so popular, she hasn't had time to run a trip to Istanbul recently. She is happy to do so for small groups.
Kay can run the trip with 10 - 12 people. If you are part of a smaller group, contact Kay and discuss arranging a trip and advertising it to get full numbers.
There is so much to do in Istanbul. The groups stay in Sultanahmet .... walking distance from the Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque, the underground Cistern and the Grand Bazaar. Delightful cafes and restaurants scattered around.
The Legend - a small hotel in Sultanhamet, old historic Istanbul.
We are in a few minutes walk of the Blue Mosque, Santa Sophia, the Cistern, Topkapi Palace, the Grand Bazaar and some good restaurants.
The staff are friendly and the rooms clean. Breakfast is an open buffet with cheeses, salad, eggs and bread.
The rooftop bar is fabulous. The views amazing. The hotel cat, keeps us entertained. There is talk of moving the bar downstairs and changing the roof bar into a restaurant. We have our party night here with musicians. If you have treat yourself to a costume - this is an opportunity to give it an airing.
I hope you will like the hotel as much as I do.
