Our Hotel

When we organised the first Farha Festival in Luxor, we were booked into a central Hotel in Luxor. One month before the festival we received a call advising us the hotel was being demolished - all part of a bid to clear the area around the Luxor Museum and Temple. Not good news for us though .... or was it? Sara chased up various leads and came back with some really good news. She had secured us space at the Karnak Sofitel. Wow!

A 5 star hotel on the banks of the Nile - an absolutely delightful setting. Away from any hassle - in its own grounds - with air conditioned spaces for dance classes.

There is a bus and boat service to the centre of Luxor till early evening and taxis are easy to come by. The hotel itself has a good restaurant - and breakfast is a veritable feast.  There is a really good restaurant in nearby Karnak - and lots of eating places in Luxor.

The hotel provide us with reasonable priced water for dance classes - though the hotel bars and restaurants are Egyptian 5 star prices.
