Kay was introduced to Nibal by Nadia Hamdi. (Nadia was a well known dancer in Cairo in the 80's) Nibal was engaged to Nadias son, Mohamed. Nibal was bright, intelligent and interested in people. They became firm friends when Kay cat sat for Yasmina for 4 months. Nibal taught Kay how to cook kosherie. Kay told her about her life, she told Kay about hers. They spent hours chatting and finding out more about each others lives. Nibal is genuinely interested and non judgemental.

Nibal would sometimes come and meet Kay and her groups for coffee or to go do some sightseeing where she was a great help. She and Mohamed would even invite groups to their home for something to eat. Very generous with no connection to tourism - and the girls loved the insight into a womans life that Nibal gave them.

Nibal is now married to Mohamed with 3 children: Salah, Nour and Shehab. She enjoyed helping Kay informally with her groups so much that she decided to study to be a tour guide. Nibal loves people and wants everyone to have a positive impression of her country which she talks about passionately. She has now launched her own tour company and arranges all of the Farida sightseeing trips and transport. Nibal also leads non belly dance trips which are more culture / sightseeing based. Nibal is available to set things up for independent travellers (see Independent Cairo section) and we can arrange itineraries for groups.
