Cultural Dancers Cairo is a great combination of seeing dance in different settings and exploring some of the Islamic history.  A unique trip requested by Rachael Borek and brought to you by Kay Taylor of Farida Adventures.

Kay loves designing specialist trips and incorporating new and different things.  Kay is with the group all week to ensure everything runs smoothly.

What is Included

  • 6 nights B&B at 3 star Grand Hotel in Downtown Cairo
  • Orientation including a local lunch of kosherie
  • Basic Arabic – to help you through the week
  • Khan el Khalili and Tentmakers walking tour with Kay.  Includes local market, Mohamed Ali cistern, Bab el Zuwella (Cairo walls and minarets), Tentmakers bazaar.  Orientation around the Khan el Kalili, lunch of local pancakes and time in the Khan to shop.
  • Islamic Cairo – Including the Citadel, Mohamed Ali mosque, guide and bus
  • Guided tour and talk with Reda Henkesh about historic roots of Mohamed Ali street, artists and musicians (Optional visit to Islamic museum) includes bus and translator.
  • Tannoura show – whirling dervishes and musicians – show put on by ministry of culture
  • Felucca and Al Azhar park.  A chilled out morning sailing down the Nile then enjoy the peace and greenery of the park.
  • Cairo Cabaret – to see Zara – late night experience
  • Blue Nile restaurant – includes meal and dance show
  • Hafla night at Yasminas.  Yasmina invited us into her home.  Delicious home cooked food, live music and entertainment by friends and family.  A truly special experience. (This is number dependant)
  • Kay on hand to facilitate everything.

ALSO – if there is anything you really want to do / buy in Cairo, talk to Kay.  If possible she will facilitate it.

Buses are included when going further afield or off the beaten track.  We use local taxis and you pay as you go for places that are easy to get to.  These are very cheap.  Taxi journeys are part of the Cairo experience.


Deposits are non refundable.
The balance of £595 is due in 2 payments:
£395 by 25th August
£200 cash on arrival in Cairo.
