| Customised Cairo |
|
Ideal for a group of friends, a teacher wanting to take her class or a troup wanting to travel together. Customised trips can be tailored to include everything you want from a week in Cairo. Kay is constantly finding new restaurants, clubs etc for her groups to try. You may want your trip to be more about sightseeing and costume shopping with a couple of shows .... or you may want it to be lots of late nights with a whole range of dance shows ... and never see a Pyramid. The choice is yours. Below is a list of options you can choose from. Included on all courses The Grand Hotel is a family run business based just outside the main tourist area in Cairo. The Egyptian Museum is within walking distance - but we don't have any tourist touts to make your life hell!!! We do have lots of fabulous shoe shops and some amazing choices of underwear in the adjacent streets. All the rooms in our hotel have balconies - most look over bustling street scenes. It is noisy so I would recommend ear plugs for light sleepers. Each room has a fridge and television ... but no hair dryer or tea making facilities. All rooms have their own bathrooms - most have bath and shower - though most baths don't have a plug! Rooms are clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. Local Experiences Orientation and lunch on first day A day at the Khan el Khalili We give you a map, walk you round pointing out shops that people may want to go back to. Then go for a coffee / tea at Fishawes - Cairos oldest coffee shop. A fascinating experience .... with people passing trying to sell you everything from watches to carpets. Next stop, Mahmouds. 3 stories of bellydance heaven. Most dancers want to have a look here. Then you can do what you want. Shop at Mahmouds, wander round the market, go CD shopping ... the choice is yours. We can include lunch in the day if required. Trips to Costumiers Kay or Claire After this, you choose what you would like included from the options shown on the right hand side. email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
