Camp Negum 2024
Camp Negum is based in Cairo.
Kay Taylor and Farida Adventures are co-hosting the festival with Safaa Farida and Nibal Abdel Aziz
- Payment:
A deposit of £100 is payable to secure your place. (Our website is based in the UK and hosted by our partner Farida Adventures who have organised specialist trips for dancers for many years)
The balance is paid by an instalment then the final payment on arrival in Cairo. - Refunds:
- On payment of receipt we will send you a confirmation email. If for any reason you need to cancel, this deposit is refundable for 4 weeks from payment. After this, the deposit is non refundable.
COVID 19
The festival will only go ahead if it is deemed safe to do so. If we have to cancel due to the current Covid 19 pandemic you will have the option of transferring to new dates or a full refund (minus and bank charges)
MEDICAL CONDITIONS
If you are affected by a condition, medical or otherwise that may affect your or other clients’ participation in the holiday, it is your responsibility to advise us of this at the time of booking. We cannot accept responsibility for your condition but we do need to be aware of it. It is your responsibility to make sure you are fit and well enough to participate in the holiday. Please consult your medical practitioner if necessary before you book. It is your responsibility to ensure you have taken out insurance for any condition, medical or otherwise.
PERSONAL FITNESS – This is a dance festival so a certain fitness level is assumed. It is also important that you complete your own warm up / cool down at the end of a class. Be aware of your own limitations and do not do anything that may cause injury.
SURCHARGES
As prices for holidays are set many months in advance, on rare occasions we may have to impose a surcharge, if this happens we will let you know at least 28 days prior to the departure date. If the surcharge is more than 10% you will be entitled to cancel with a full refund, however you must let us know within 14 days of the date of our surcharge invoice. We must stress that surcharges very rarely happen. Since Farida Adventures was formed eighteen years ago, this has only happened once.
PASSPORT, VISAS and INSURANCE
It is your responsibility to ensure you have a valid passport, and visa if required. It is also your responsibility to have insurance, the post office do a good deal, but it is worth shopping around. We suggest you take out insurance for your trip, including your flights. Please ensure you take out insurance before you book your flights otherwise they may not be covered.
FLIGHTS
Flights are not included. You are welcome to arrive a day earlier or stay longer if your flight times work better this way. If you want to do this email us to specify which extra nights you would like and we will advise you of the cost.
Transfer to and from the airport are included however it is your responsibility to advise us of your flight times. We need these 4 weeks before the festival starts. If we do not receive them, we cannot guarantee a transfer. In these situations, it would be your responsibility to get a taxi to the hotel for the festival at your own expense.
HOLIDAY PARTICIPATION
If you have a complaint or problem about any part of the holiday, please tell us at the time, it is only if we know about a problem that we can try to put it right.
We need a certain amount of people to make the trip viable so please do not book flights until we have confirmed.
Payment
We cannot accept instalment or balance payments by card. You can arrange a bank transfer to:

If you cancel:
If you cancel within 1 month of booking, you will receive a full refund.
After 1 month, your deposit is non refundable.
If you have made any part payments up to the end of July, these would be refunded in full.
The next instalment is due at the end of July after this point, if you cancel, no monies are refunded.
If we cancel:
In the unlikely event that we have to cancel the trip, we will let you know as soon as possible and refund all monies.
Passports, Visas and insurance
It is your responsibility to ensure you have a valid passport.
Visas can currently be obtained at the airport on arrival. You can get them in advance through the Egyptian Embassy but it is more expensive this way.
We highly recommend that you have travel insurance in place before booking trips or flights to ensure you are covered.
Health
If you have any health issues, please check with your doctor in advance and advise us where necessary. Vaccination requirements vary – check with your doctor.
Security
We constantly monitor the security status and issues in locations we will be. Our local network of contacts ensure up to date information throughout the trip.
Surcharges
Prices for holidays are set 2 years in advance so on occasion we may need to raise a surcharge. Farida Adventures has been running for over 20 years and this has only happened once. If it happens, we will let you know at least 28 days prior to the start of the trip. If the surcharge is more than 10% you may cancel and get a full refund. You must cancel within 10 days of notification of the surcharge to receive a refund.
