Our timetable is designed to inform and challenge, whatever your level.

Day One:  Monday 19th October 2020

  • Arrivals 10 – 12
  • 2 x Classes in the afternoon
  • Opening Gala show 20.00 – 24.00

Day Two:  Tuesday 20th October 2020

  • 3 x 2 hour classes through the day
  • Early evening:  Introduction to the band, the instruments and Q&A session
  • Free evening

Day Three:  Wednesday 21st October 2020

  • 2 x 2 hour classes on the morning
  • Afternoon:  Trip to Khan el Khalili including a late lunch of Egyptian pancakes & escorted tour around.  Time to shop!
  • Evening:  Tannoura – whirling dervish show with master musicians then bus back to hotel

Day Four:  Thursday  22nd October 2020

  • Free morning for optional sightseeing / pool time
  • Afternoon:  2 x 2 hour classes
  • 19.00: Guided rehearsals for those who have booked to perform with the band or enter the competition.
  • Free evening

Day Five:  Friday 23rd October 2020

  • Morning:  2 x 2 hour classes
  • 15.00:  Showcase for competition / performers with band – come along a support the girls.
  • Evening:  Closing Gala – relax and enjoy!

Day Six:  Saturday 24th October 2020

  • Departures

Prices for this trip are in US dollars.
Our website is based in the UK – so we ask for £80 sterling deposit which is $100.  The exchange rate does vary.  This deposit is fully refundable if you change your mind within 28 days of booking.  After that, it is non refundable.
50% of the balance is due on 1st June 2020 – $440 – details of payment will be sent in confirmation letter.
The balance of $440 will be due on arrival in Cairo.
Optional: performing with band or entering the competition:  an additional $35 – this includes a rehearsal with the band to agree the start / end of your piece and a run through of the whole number.  The rehearsal is Thursday evening.  The Showcase / competition is on Friday afternoon and will be filmed.

This trip is ideal for those who love live music, an informal and friendly atmosphere and want to immerse themselves in Egyptian music at it’s best.
